So I like cleaning cars, a lot. I do it as a pot-lining, side-cash gathering, scab of a business. When I bought my townhouse I told my wife our garage wasn’t going to be normal, there would be lights in spots where walls normally are, and that the shelves at the end for storage would be at least 25% detailing products.
Ok so a bit of an exaggeration but still, my garage MUST function as a detailing studio, otherwise I would have kept my condo.
On to the photos.
Yes, my wheels are that clean. They’re ceramic coated, so nothing sticks.

Very nice.
I h ave no garage or anything so I clean the cars at the side of the road in front of the house (which is legal unlike many places in the North America and Europe I’ve heard).
I’ve been interested in buying a Tornador, which would need me to buy an air compressor, but there are two air compressors that are briefcase size, 8bar, 180Ltr/min, 1.5hp electric motor.

I have a 17 gallon tank air compressor (65liter) and that can run an impact gun at 90psi (6.2 bar) long enough to remove 2 wheels worth of lug nuts before the pump has to kick in. For the amount of air needed for a tornador to do it’s thang, I don’t think a briefcase compressor will suffice.

Ye’, while the compressor operates at 8bar, max 118psi.
It’s flow rate of only 180Ltr/min is not enough and needs to be 270Ltr/min minimum.
I don’t really need one, just want one, but also don’t want some large lumbering compressor to move about.
At least you’ve been a second voice in my head to talk me out of it. Lol.

I don’t think that compressor will work for a Tornador. They use a ton of volume requiring something that can likely provide a steady 3-5 SCFM . That’d require a larger unit.

Ye’, the thing was if the small unit would work it was a distinct possibility of getting one as I definitely don’t want a larger compressor sitting in the side alley of the house which wouldn’t get used much.
It was something I more wanted than needed.
I just needed someone else to talk me out of it. ;)

I’d love to see the entire thing, those are newer RDX wheels aren’t they? On a first gen turbo-RDX? That sounds tight!

Yeah! The rest of the car is bone stock, just the wheels which I got through work for... well.... next to nothing. Factory wheels have winter tires on them as they were in rough shape when I bought the car.
